Uday (KPG 59) Chickpeas

In 1992, India introduced Uday or KPG 59, a distinct variety of chickpeas exported from the country. KPG 59 typically requires 130-140 days to reach maturity after transplantation. Notably, this variety is well-suited for late sowing. On average, the yield of this chickpea variant ranges between 18 to 20 quintals per hectare.
