Grapes varieties
Thompson grapes, also known as Thompson seedless grapes, are a popular cultivar of table grapes widely cultivated around the world. They are named after William Thompson, a 19th-century viticulturist who played a significant role in their development. Thompson seedless is white (pale green), an oval seedless grape variety also called Sultana or Sultanina, and an oval fruited kishmish. These grapes are of excellent quality. They have a crunchy texture and a sweet-tart flavor. These grapes are often used for fresh consumption, raisin production, and winemaking. They are known for their golden-green color and are a popular choice for snacking, salads, and desserts. Thompson grapes are a good source of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals.
